Braeside 2024

Year 4, 2-night residential trip - updates from Braeside

Update 3 - first morning at Braeside

The children had quite a good nights sleep after all the evening activities and excitement of being at Braeside, they really enjoyed doing the nightline.

This morning everyone has tucked into breakfast ready for the day ahead, the choices on offer included croissants, toast and cereal.  They're now getting prepared to head off on the long walk with packed lunches in their bags to enjoy part way round.

Update 2 - Monday evening

We had a good walk along the canal. A Kennet and Avon Canal volunteer gave all of the children the opportunity to either open or close a lock. Everyone had a lot of fun this afternoon with the problem solving and low ropes. All of the exercise meant that they built up a good appetites.

There was lots of choice for our evening meal including fish, chips, peas, baked beans, jacket potatoes and salad, followed by ice-cream and fruit. Everyone ate really well, there were lots of plates overflowing with food but it was all eaten.

The whole group is cheerful and happy. They are looking forward to the nightline and even more excited about going to bed!

Update 1 - Arrived!

Every arrived happy at Braeside earlier today and is having a good time.

Lunch was enjoyed and the children were looking forward to their afternoon activities of low ropes and problem solving.
