Safeguarding and Child Protection

Box Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Jo French, the deputy DSL is Lisa-Marie Reed and the nominated governor is Rob Price. Safeguarding is the responsibility of all adults, especially those working or volunteering with children. The school aims to help protect the children in its care by working consistently and appropriately with all relevant agencies to reduce risk and promote the welfare of children.

We aim to ensure:

  • all our pupils are safe and protected from harm
  • safeguarding procedures are in place to help pupils to feel safe and learn to stay safe
  • adults in the school community are aware of the expected behaviours and the school’s legal responsibilities in relation to safeguarding and child protection.
