Compassion is our Superpower

This week has certainly ended on a high with some fantastic events happening at Box Primary School.
First of all, if you came to Oak Class assembly on Friday, you can confirm that you certainly were treated. It was an absolutely beautiful assembly all about compassion. We were amazed by fantastic acting in a retelling of the story of The Lion and The Mouse; beautiful singing, despite there being a technical hitch which meant that we were treated to an acapella version; and a wonderful message that everyone has their own superpower to show compassion. Oak Class performed superbly- I don’t think many of them even needed a microphone for their voices to be heard, even at the back of the church! They even demonstrated compassion first hand- cheering for their classmates who were slightly more nervous to perform in front of a packed crowd. I don’t think it’s an assembly- or message- that we will forget any time soon!
Beech Class ended the week with a trip to Jamie’s Farm in Box to see- and cuddle- the new-born lambs.
Sycamore Class ended the week with a space visitor- amazing the children with out-of-this-world facts about space and literally causing an explosion in one of our experiments (don’t worry, eyebrows- and limbs- all in tact!).
And who can forget the treat that was Easter Bingo! A packed hall, with eyes down, and many happy children (and adults) taking home prizes.
Thank you all for your support and we look forward to many more eggs-citing events happening next week!
