Artful Natured

A picture is worth a thousand words and all you need to do to see how much Beech Class are enjoying and learning from their current art project, is to look at their work. They are creating beautiful images of patterns in nature by using a view finder to really focus in on the details. Each child picked the animal that they wanted to focus in on (jaguar being the most popular) and put their view finder in different positions on that animal. They then had to replicate what they saw. It’s really interesting to see how each picture created looked completely different- almost like it’s not from the same animal at all- just by focusing in. How each animal is made up of a range of patterns and textures. Beech Class have done an incredible job, exploring with pencil and pastel and how different blending techniques can be used to create a range of colour and texture. They are incredibly life-like! Like you could reach out and stroke them (not that I would recommend that with a jaguar!). I can’t wait to see the finished masterpieces!
