Speaking out about our brilliant work!
These first two weeks of term at Box Primary School have been about speaking out and staying safe. All classes in the school have been using resources from the NSPCC to encourage the children to talk about any concerns or worries that they may have. We have been learning that by talking to a trusted adult, their worries can be eased.
We were all shocked by a surprise appearance of Ant and Dec in our online assembly and then a real-life celebrity came to visit Chestnut and Sycamore classes- Buddy the speech bubble! Buddy wasn’t alone: two wonderful volunteers from the NSPCC came with him to help spread the message of the importance of speaking out and staying safe.
Chestnut Class were so inspired by their assembly that they created their own posters about speaking out and staying safe, that are soon to be displayed around the school as a reminder to all children of the importance of sharing their worries. I don’t think anyone will be keeping quiet about how wonderful a job they have done!
