The school's local governing body is called the Academy Community Council and made up of local volunteers and parents.  Our governor's are called councillors and work as a team.  They are responsible for making sure the school provides a good quality of education for all pupils.  Councillors promote effective ways of teaching and learning when setting the school aims and policies.  They do this together with the headteacher, who is responsible for the day-to-day management of the school.

Academy community councils are accountable to parents, the local community and the academy trust and they are usually appointed for four years.  Their main role is to help raise the pupils' standards of achievement.
