Year one have now moved onto learning phase 5 graphemes and common exception words (CEW) in phonics. 

Please can you help your child to learn to read the CEW on the attached mat. You can do this by making flash cards, making a matching pairs game or  by reading the words on the mat and looking for them in their reading books. 

At school we have learned up to called so please focus on the first seven words only moving on when your child can read those words. 

Please let me know in your child's homework book how they are getting on.
