Forgive and un-forget-able!
This term, our value is forgiveness. And we have nothing to forgive Willow Class for, as they did an absolutely incredible job with their assembly this week. Everyone spoke clearly and confidently and the audience could hear every single word. It had a wonderful message: books and socks can be mended with sticky tape and thread but friendships can’t always be mended so easily- forgiveness is key. There was a wonderfully acted version of the parable of the unforgiving servant and a beautifully sung song, that almost had a few adults in tears. Willow Class, it was amazing and you should feel very proud.
Willow Class’ song wasn’t the only song sung in Box Primary School this week. On Thursday, Voices For Life, a charity that aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children through music, visited and taught our children a song called Let’s Go! It’s a song about being your best and a recording of our voices will be added to a choir of 37 schools and sent to the Team GB Olympians as encouragement for the upcoming Olympic Games. I think we definitely will encourage them, as it was mentioned that our school had some of the happiest and most enthusiastic singers! Not that we will be claiming any credit for medals won……*ahem.
