An Exciting End to the Term!
We were all incredibly excited when the village shop returned to Box earlier this month (and who wouldn’t be with those milkshakes?). But our excitement increased considerably when we heard about the ‘design a mascot’ competition- a chance to have our artwork displayed around the shop sounded too good to be true.
Londis were blown away by the number of entries and had the unenviable task of picking a winner. This week, they have picked a winner, and on Friday they came to school and presented her with an amazing prize- a basket overflowing with art equipment. There were colouring pens and pencils, different types of paper, googly eyes, pom poms and so, so much more. The lucky winner said that she knew exactly how she would be spending her evening! (And half term I think with that much!)
So, keep your eyes peeled for the Londis Fairy- complete with Londis T-Shirt and fairy wand- coming soon to the store and wish the competition winner a hearty congratulation!
No need to despair though if you did not win the competition, as there was also a prize awarded to the school- £150! When asked how that money would be spent, Miss French replied ‘On art resources of course!’. So we are all winners and will soon have a bounty of art supplies of our own to invent, create and imagine with.
You may also have noticed another bit of excitement that filled the school day on Friday: we have scaffolding up around the extension. Unfortunately, this isn’t as exciting as it looks- we are just having the flashing on the extension windows fixed over the half term.
Have a fantastic week and we will see you back in school on Monday 19th February.
